Here is Mrs. Dwight Eisenhower’s own recipe for what her husband calls “Mamie’s Million Dollar Fudge.”

First mix:

Four and 1/2 cup sugar

Pinch of salt

2 tbsp butter

One tall can evaporated milk

Boil mixture for six minutes.

Next, put these in a large bowl:

12 oz of semi-sweet chocolate bits

12 oz German sweet chocolate

1 pint marshmallow cream

2 cup nut meats

Then pour boiling syrup of first mixture over contents in bowl; heat until chocolate is melted.

Finally, pour into pan and allow to stand for a few hours before cutting. Store in tin box,
