Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix in large bowl:
1/2 package yellow cake mix
1 cup chunky-style peanut butter
2 eggs
1/3 cup water
Beat until smooth and well blended. Blend in remaining 1/2 package yellow cake mix. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Cookies should be about the size of walnuts.
With a fork dipped in flour, flatten rounds of dough by pressing a crisscross design on top of each cookie.
Bake 8-10 minutes, or until a light golden brown. Cool cookies on baking sheet about 2 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool. Makes 4-5 dozen cookies.
