3 cup sugar
1 & 1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp soda
2 tsp vanilla
Flour as needed
Mix soda into sugar then cream in butter. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Knead in flour until dough does not stick to hands. Roll thin, cut into desired shapes and bake in 300 degree oven for crisp cookies and 375 degrees for soft cookies.
