Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a baking sheet.
Prepare fudgy brownies as directed on package (1 pound) of fudge brownie mix, omit nuts.
For each “slowpoke” place 3 walnut or pecan halves (with ends touching at center) on a baking sheet.
Drop a level teaspoonful of brownie dough in center or each group of nuts. Bake 10 minutes.
Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. Cool on a wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen. Frost with favorite uncooked chocolate icing.
