Congo Bars

2/3 cup crisco or oil

1 box brown sugar

3 eggs

2 & 2/3 cup flour

1/2 tsp salt

2 & 1/2 tsp baking powder

2 tsp vanilla

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup chopped nuts

Heat crisco or oil. Combine with sugar. Let cool 10 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each egg. Mix dry ingredients with above. Add chips, nuts and vanilla. Bake 325 degrees for 15 minutes, then 300 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool and cut into bars.
