Mother Florrie’s Chili

1 onion

1/2 bell pepper

3 sticks of celery

1 can tomatoes

1 pound ground beef

1 can kidney beans

1 can water

1 tbsp chili powder

Cut and mix onion, pepper and celery in boiler; sear until tender. Add one pound ground beef. Salt and season to taste. Add chili powder, tomatoes and water. Cook until well done. Add kidney beans. Simmer for a few minutes. (I usually brown my meat and drain before adding)
