Oven Beef Jerky

Sauce:

1/4 cup Dale’s Steak Sauce

1/8 cup soy sauce

1 tbsp liquid smoke

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1/8 cup lemon juice

Cut beef (I like London broil) into long, narrow strips. If the meat is put into freezer for a short period of time, it cuts better. Place beef into sauce and put into refrigerator overnight. The next day, put a toothpick through each beef strip and place on top rack of oven. Be sure to take bottom rack out of oven. Cook in preheated 150 degree oven for 2 to 3 hours. As the meat gets hot, the sauce and natural juices from the meat will drip out of the strips onto the floor of oven. It will be necessary to wipe those juices up. I use a sponge and long fork.
